After more than 4,160 sales and over 250 five-star reviews, I’m both proud and sad to announce that my Etsy shop will be closing on August 5.
Why Is the Shop Closing?
This change is not by choice. Etsy recently announced that it will be closing all shops that rely solely on PayPal for payments. Unfortunately, Etsy Payments are not supported in Armenia, where my store is based. That means I can no longer receive payments on Etsy, and my shop is being automatically shut down.
What Happens Next?
While this news is disappointing, it’s also an opportunity to grow. I’ve already begun moving my digital products to PrintsComeTrue.com base on Payhip—a platform that supports PayPal payments and gives me full control over my store.
